Paul Kuhn, one of the greatest jazz pianists in Germany, died on September 23, 2013 with 85 years.

He was a legend, a true master, and he will be mostly remembered for his humor, his delicately and gracefully swingin’ piano & for his all-time greatest hits “Geben Sie dem Mann am Klavier noch’n Bier”, and “Es gibt kein Bier auf Hawaii” … all those beer-titles, I know … Jaa, jaa! … and that’s pop anyway, German Schlager, not jazz in the first place.

And the other, err, “deceased”? — That’s Germany’s only liberal party, the F.D.P., which didn’t make it into the Bundestag for the very first time in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany.
