WHAT IS THERE TO SAY? ∽ Meet the JACK SHELDON QUARTET, going West Coast in 1955

Grab a cool drink, and ree-lax while harking my great colleague Jack Sheldon, one of the leading trumpet men of the 1950’s & 1960’s, featured here as an upcoming young lion with his fantastic quartet.

Jack is playing the immortal Vernon Duke composition “What Is There To Say?”, uploaded by my fellow JazzTuber 60otaku3-san from Japan.

Personnel & date:

Jack Sheldon (tp), Walter Norris (p), Bob Whitlock (b), Lawrence Marable (d) ∽ Recorded at Capitol Studios, Los Angeles, in Spring 1955.
