Repost RE: The Beginning of Summer: Summertime 3 X’s — By Bird, Trane & Brew

— INTRO —

I won’t edit this article from last year. It will get reposted as I have written it then.

Enjoy anyway!

Sincerely yours truly,

Brew

— BULK —

It’s hard to believe that we’re in July, ’cause it feels like early Autumn, doesn’t it?

Anyway, we will just try to brush aside the raindrops on our pale faces, and travel straight back in time to New York City’s Greenwich Village in 1950, to the Atlantic Studios in October 1960, and to Cologne’s famous music club, once called “Treasure Chest” – which is now named “Studio 672” – in 2005.

Hope you will enjoy the three versions of George Gershwin’s most popular song Summertime.

Just in case Summer hears it: Please come back with sunshine!

Sincerely yours truly,

Brew
